Michael Reid, CA
Managing partner

Michael co-founded Meston Reid & Co and is the firm’s managing partner. He has experience of advising businesses of all types across many industry sectors. Michael holds an insolvency permit and has acted as principal in all types of formal corporate and personal insolvencies including acting as liquidator, receiver and administrator. He has provided support and specialist recovery advice to numerous businesses experiencing financial difficulty. He serves on the insolvency committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Mark Brown, CA

Mark provides a range of services to limited companies with a particular interest in technology businesses and the oil service sector. His work has an emphasis on helping the growth of start-up businesses and he is involved in preparing business plans, raising finance and providing corporate finance support. Mark is also involved in the training of CA students and assists the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland with exam marking.
William Anderson, CA

William provides audit, accountancy and personal tax services to numerous owner-managed businesses from most industry sectors. William heads up the firm’s specialist charity service, providing audit and accountancy services for several high profile local charities.
Alan Stewart, CA

Throughout his career Alan has worked with audit clients operating in different industry sectors and has acquired detailed experience in dealing with commercial issues faced by clients of all sizes. As well as servicing audit clients he is involved in providing accountancy services to a variety of owner-managed businesses and a large portfolio of landed estate clients. Alan also acts as recruitment partner for the firm.

Martin provides tax advice to a broad spectrum of companies and their owners on mitigating their tax liabilities, on international tax matters and corporate transactions such as the purchase and sale of companies.

Alasdair has detailed experience in advising large owner managed clients in a diverse range of business sectors on the impact of taxes for their businesses, tax planning and major transactions. Alasdair acts for a range of clients including individuals, companies, owner-managed businesses, trusts, landed estates and property ventures.
